Student Clubs & Involvement

The University of Arizona AI Club is a community of innovators where students work on real projects, gain industry experience and develop the skills to excel in AI-driven careers. The AI Club, which meets weekly, offers workshops and classes, industry consulting projects and a speaker series.

Cyber Saguaros is a student group that focuses on cybersecurity education, capture-the-flag competitions and industry networking for students wanting to work in a field involving cybersecurity.

The University of Arizona Game Dev Club, advised by College of Information Science faculty, brings students together at meetings and social events to explore all aspects of gaming and game development.

The College of Information Science student ambassadors—our iAmbassadors—assist with college recruiting and events, and are located on both main campus and online.

The Library and Information Science Organization (LISO) is a student club for library and information science students at the University of Arizona, whether they are online or on main campus. It hopes to foster a sense of community across programs and build a network of support for library and information science students.

Women in Information and Computer Science supports underrepresented genders in technology at U of A by creating a sense of community, helping each other explore topics in computing and developing professional skills together. WICS meets weekly during the school year.

The mission of the WiCyS student chapter is to build a community within U of A that promotes women's education, participation and leadership in the field of cybersecurity by a) decreasing the gender disparity in cybersecurity, b) providing education, mentorship and networking support to students in the WiCyS community, and c) promoting and recruiting women in the cybersecurity workforce through U of A.

WiDS Tucson is independently organized by the University of Arizona to be part of the mission to increase participation of women in data science and to feature outstanding women doing outstanding work. The one-day technical conference held in Tucson is associated with Women in Data Science Worldwide.

The University of Arizona Blue Chip Leadership Experience helps students find community, distinguish themselves and build career skills. Blue Chip students build lifelong friendships and hone their leadership skills on campus, in the classroom and in the community. Blue Chip graduates are pushing boundaries, solving problems and excelling as leaders.

The Associated Students of the University of Arizona (ASUA) serves as the student government, representing and advocating for the student body. Comprising dedicated students who are passionate about enhancing their campus community, ASUA supports student engagement through programs, policies, events, and by amplifying the student voice. Our mission is to ensure that every student can connect with the University of Arizona through diverse involvement opportunities, ranging from political engagement and event planning to initiatives aimed at improving campus life. We strive to help students make the most of their college experience and create lasting memories.
