Library & Information Science Undergraduate Minor

The Library and Information Science undergraduate minor is a great introduction for work in any information context related to libraries, archives, special collections, material preservation, health information management and more.

The minor also serves as a prelude to the Master of Arts in Information and Library Science program.

This 18-unit minor is available on main campus and online.

Requirements

  • Students are required to maintain at least a 2.0 average in minor coursework to complete the minor.
  • Students must complete at least 12 units (4 courses) which are upper-division (300-level or above).
  • Students are allowed to use up to 2 courses (typically, 6 units) between a major and minor program with departmental approval.
