The 6-course, 18-unit Cyber Operations undergraduate certificate provides students a springboard to becoming a cybersecurity practitioner, academic or researcher.
You’ll learn to advance the concepts and principles of cybersecurity across different disciplines, threats and technologies. You’ll learn concepts and principles of developing practical applications supporting cybersecurity and digital investigation activities through Python programming.
Declaration or Application Process
For University of Arizona students, the certificate may be completed as a stand-alone program or alongside an undergraduate degree. For main campus students, there are no additional application requirements for the Cyber Operations Certificate.
If you are a current University of Arizona student, please declare your certificate here:
If you are not a current U of A student, you can apply for admission as a certificate-seeking student.
Cyber Operations is available via main campus and Arizona Online (see note above).
Students must meet the same general University of Arizona admissions criteria as degree-seeking students. The requirements and expectations are the same as a first-year, transfer or readmit student depending on what admit type a student is (first-year, transfer or readmit). Students have to fill out the application fully and submit all required transcripts and requested materials. Certificate seeking students (as in Certificate seeking only, not as part of a degree) are not eligible for merit aid or financial aid and if they apply as degree-seeking in the future, they are considered "readmits."
