A hub for applied, responsible technology exploration where undergraduates collaborate with faculty, industry partners and other students on real-world artificial intelligence projects that build practical skills and confidence.
Arizona Cybersecurity Academy
A community-focused initiative that brings undergraduates into hands-on learning, research and outreach experiences at all levels of education and community involvement, designed to strengthen digital security and workforce readiness.
Research Labs
Faculty-led spaces where undergraduates take part in active research across information disciplines, investigate real problems and build experience through discovery and collaboration.
Get Involved.
Getting involved at InfoSci means building relationships and experiences that support your growth now and into your future, including:
Student Clubs
From the AI Club to Women in Data Science, our student-led organizations provide opportunities to connect with peers, explore shared interests and build leadership skills through active involvement.
Peer Tutoring
Peer tutoring is a collaborative learning program where students support one another by strengthening understanding, confidence and academic success in information science courses.
Career Center
Working in tandem with U of A's Center for Career Readiness, the InfoSci Career Center helps students explore career paths, prepare for internships and jobs, and connect their interests to professional opportunities.
The University of Arizona iShowcase presents interactive research and creative projects by InfoSci students in game design and development, digital storytelling, data science, information science, AI and machine learning, and more. It's an amazing end-of-semester experience.
INFOSCI STUDENT PROFILES
Veronika Kyles is building from the broad industry and extracurricular activities she took part in as a Bachelor's in Cyber Operations student to focus on critical infrastructure security research in the MS in Cyber and Information Operations. A four-year member of the Pride of Arizona Marching Band, Veronika is happy to share her diverse experiences and advice to new InfoSci students.
Sterling Godwin, a Phoenix native majoring in Information Science and Arts with a minor in Business Administration, overcame cancer before beginning his journey at the U of A and College of Information Science. The challenge may have delayed his education, but it never dimmed his passion for digital art and computing (or for food photography and gatherings with friends).
Vivian Huynh, a first-generation student from Casper, Wyoming, is passionate about data science’s societal impact. As someone who changed her major after coming to U of A, she believes the InfoSci experience holds profound significance because “it represents a journey of discovery, growth and transformation towards a bright future.”
