Impact in Motion

The College of Information Science is moving forward—with clarity, with collaboration and with impact in motion: read our FY 2025 / AY 2024-2025 Annual Report to learn just how.

Some years bring change. Others create momentum that reshapes what comes next.

For the College of Information Science, FY25 / AY24–25 was such a year—an inflection point defined by growth, convergence and collective acceleration. Across our students, faculty, staff, alumni, and partners, impact continued to build.

This year, the college expanded its reach and purpose through impressive research activity, strong student achievement, national recognition, new faculty expertise and innovative scholarship spanning degrees from data science and game design to cybersecurity and library and information science. At the core of this work is a shared commitment to the public good: advancing knowledge that shapes technology, strengthens communities and prepares future information leaders.

This annual report captures that momentum in motion, including a transformative moment on the first day of FY 2026: the integration of the College of Applied Science and Technology into the College of Information Science. Within the pages of this annual report are the outcomes and stories that define the year—enrollment growth, impactful research, innovative academic programs and student-driven projects addressing real-world challenges. You’ll also see enduring initiatives such as the Knowledge River Scholars Program, which continues to demonstrate how community-centered investment in information education expands opportunity and catalyzes change.

As we look ahead, the College of Information Science remains focused on what’s next: ethical and interdisciplinary research, next-generation teaching and learning and preparing graduates to lead in an era of rapid technological transformation. Thank you for being part of the momentum.
