CNBC has reported findings from the National Association of Colleges and Employers’ Winter 2026 Salary Survey, which ranks the 10 most in-demand bachelor’s degrees for the Class of 2026. At No. 7 on the list: Information Sciences and Systems, with 48% of surveyed employers saying they plan to hire graduates in the field. At the College of Information Science, this national recognition underscores something long known: preparing students to navigate and shape our data-driven world is not optional. It is foundational.

When Brooke Hesse began her college career, she knew she loved solving problems, but she also sensed something was missing. That search for a more creative, people-centered approach to technology led her to the College of Information Science. Now pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Information Science with an emphasis in Interactive and Immersive Technologies, Brooke has found a program that reflects how she wants to learn, lead and make an impact: at the intersection of data, design and human experience.

The Bachelor of Applied Science in Cyber Operations has been named the nation’s #1 cybersecurity bachelor’s degree program for 2026 by Programs.com, ranked first among 400 undergraduate cybersecurity programs nationwide. For the College of Information Science, the distinction affirms what students, faculty and industry partners already know: Arizona’s BAS in Cyber Operations is built for the real world.
