The University of Arizona is a Center of Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity.

The National Security Agency has named the University of Arizona as a Center of Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity, with designations for Cyber Defense (CAE-CD), Cyber Operations (CAE-CO), Research (CAE-R) and the new Cyber Artificial Intelligence (CAE-CyberAI)—one of just a handful of institutions that hold all four designations.

The Bachelor of Applied Science in Cyber Defense holds the CAE-CD designation. The CAE-CD designation is awarded to regionally accredited academic institutions offering cybersecurity degrees and/or certificates at the associate, bachelor’s and graduate levels. By holding the CAE-DC, the University of Arizona and College of Information Science demonstrate that we engage in significant community involvement, academic activities and institutional practices in cybersecurity.
