Associate Professor Diana Daly has been recognized with the OER Architect Award by the OERizona Network, honoring her outstanding contributions to the creation, enhancement and implementation of open educational resources (OER) in Arizona.

College of Information Science Assistant Professor of Practice Greg Chism and PhD in Information student Laura Dozal have been named to the first cohort of the Jetstream2 AI Fellows Program, a pioneering initiative powered by Jetstream2, a resource for adding cloud-based, on-demand computing and data analysis resources to the national cyberinfrastructure.

Jessica Chung, an undergraduate academic advisor, has been recognized with the Outstanding First-Generation Professional Award, one of the U of A’s 2025 Student Success Awards. This honor celebrates faculty and staff who identify as first-generation professionals and actively support first-gen students in their academic journeys.

Associate Professor Brenton Stewart, who joined the college in 2025, studies information behaviors and practices, particularly information avoidance, needs, use and trust across disparate social-cultural contexts, institutions and artifacts. As a former academic librarian, he is especially interested in information behaviors of college students and the information ecology of academic libraries.

U of A game design and development students joined forces with local developers for an intense weekend of creativity, collaboration and community-building as part of the 2025 Global Game Jam, which brought together students and industry professionals to rapidly design, build and submit games as part of the worldwide competition.

Associate Professor of Practice and Director of Undergraduate Studies Michael MicKisson is an award-winning visual journalist and educator who joined the college in 2023. He works with InfoSci students on uncrewed aerial vehicle data collection, visual storytelling, user-centered design, product development and entrepreneurship.
