Post Jobs Directly to Students
The University of Arizona uses Handshake to share jobs with students across campus. Handshake is the leading early career network in the U.S., connecting employers of all sizes with over 20 million active college students and young alumni from 1,600+ educational institutions. Hiring organizations of all sizes can use the platform’s free version to post roles, including internships, co-ops, gigs/contract positions, part-time and full-time roles, to students and alumni of our academic programs.

Host a College of Information Science Intern
We encourage students to participate in internships and support those experiences by offering internship credit if desired or required by the student.
For a student to earn internship credit with the University of Arizona, they must enroll in internship credit via your organization’s sign off on their completed digital Internship Work Plan, a minimum hours requirement (typically 135 hours in a semester) and your commitment to their learning experience.

Best Practices and Guidance
Please note that while we do understand organizational limitations and/or barriers to paying student interns, there is data that supports more positive outcomes for both students and organizations when their internship is paid. We encourage employers to explore options to compensate student interns as employees, or through a stipend.
