Rene Lozano
Rene Lozano grew up on the Arizona-Mexico border near Yuma, Arizona before attending the University of Arizona and graduating with a degree in public health. He attended Northern Arizona University where he obtained a graduate degree in administration. After working for many years in public health, Rene began his time at U of A with the Cancer Center. He then went to the A Center, where he worked as a pre-health advisor and helped students pursue their health profession goals and while overseeing the pre-health student ambassador program. More recently, Rene served as a senior coordinator for admissions and recruitment for the U of A College of Veterinary Medicine. There, he engaged in the recruitment and admissions processes for prospective Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) students. He focused on helping streamline the interview process, ensured course equivalency for future students and worked on creating a pipeline/pathway program for community college students. Outside of work, Rene spends time with his family and dog, and relaxes by watching a television and movies.
