I joined the College of Information Science for a second PhD after eight years in a tenure-track position in philosophy. As a philosopher I worked on the philosophy of perception, the 20th century phenomenological movement, and the philosophy of digital technology. When virtual reality devices became widely available, I became fascinated with the technology. In this program my aim is to develop more technical skills that can compliment my conceptual research on virtual reality.
