Meredith Parker
Meredith V. Parker is the College of Information Science advisor for online students. She is originally from the suburbs of Chicago, but has spent time in many different areas of the country including Minnesota, Wisconsin, Arizona and Colorado, and now she resides in Alabama.
Meredith was a school counselor for a private school in Alabama, where she worked with children K4 through 12 grade. She also worked as aniInstructional designer at Jacksonville State University in Alabama, assisting faculty members with online content. At the University of Colorado Colorado Springs, she was a career counselor for all majors and helped students find careers upon graduation. She also helped with decisions in Internships and graduate school. She worked at the University of Arizona advising students and teaching classes.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication/Public Relations from Winona State University where she ran track and played soccer. She went on to graduate school at the University of Arizona (Bear Down!) where she earned a Master of Arts in Counseling and Mental Health/School Counseling and a Master of Science in Educational Technology.
Meredith is motivated to solve everyday challenges in new and exciting ways and she looks forward to working with the College of Information Science students to create exciting career pathways. She enjoys living in the South, where she loves kayaking and is planning to do some whitewater rafting. She also enjoys technology and online learning and values a team environment.
