Irene Fischler McKisson is the co-founder and principal executive of Arizona Luminaria, a three-year-old nonprofit news organization dedicated to local news and community-centered journalism. Before this, she worked for 18 years at the Arizona Daily Star, where she ran audience development and was the co-founder and editor of This Is Tucson. She is an adjunct in the College of Information Science teaching social media and the School of Journalism teaching editing.
