Position Highlights
The Center for Creative Photography (CCP) seeks a Collections Assistant (Registrar/Collections Management Professional II) to provide creative, collaborative, and detail-oriented support for user and collection services. This position works across archival and fine print holdings, supporting both internal and external users.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Page and retrieve materials from archives and print vaults following institutional policies.
- Assist with preparing materials for classes, exhibits, and presentations.
- Handle, pack, and store fragile and valuable items according to preservation standards.
- Conduct inventories and ensure accurate collection records.
- Assist with archival processing, cataloging, and shelving of acquisitions.
- Provide reference services, supporting users in person and remotely.
- Maintain efficient operations of the Laura Volkerding Study Center.
- Assist with rights and reproduction inquiries.
- Support assessment activities and CCP services.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Ability to work independently.
- Excellent manual dexterity for handling fragile objects.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to climb ladders and lift boxes weighing up to 40 pounds.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional-level experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in art history, museum studies, or a related discipline.
- Experience in archival, museum, or special collections services.
- Familiarity with collections management software (e.g., ArchivesSpace, CollectionsSpace).
- Experience training and supporting student employees.
- Experience appraising, arranging, and describing archival collections.
