POSITION DUTIES AND QUALIFICATIONS 

SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

Provides administrative and research support and assistance to the courts, court clerks and judges. Handles situations requiring variance from usual and normal procedures, within allowable parameters.

 

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:*

Position Specific Summary

 

The Specialty Court Coordinator position at the Tucson City Court is responsible for serving as a liaison for grants and coordinating all aspects of project administration along with mentor programs. This position assists with the facilitating of procedural and programmatic changes, coordinating services with various agencies, and providing support to court personnel within the Specialty Court Division.

 

Work is performed under the supervision of the Court Supervisor. This position does not supervise.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assists judge, specialty court manager, and specialty court supervisor in prepping files, updating cases, prepping minute entries, processing cases transferred from other courts. Assists with planning, scheduling, and assembly of hearings. Performs assessments and provides information to Court Team to determine eligibility of participants.

 

  • Attends and assists with planning of team staffing sessions, including organizing staffing notes and provides, as needed, input and frontline training to court staff.

 

  • Compiles and tracks data for cases and participants of specialty courts. Utilizes Case Management System (CMS) to track court actions. Maintains and uses spreadsheets, Microsoft Office applications to record and analyze data. Assists with record support and data entry.

 

  • Creates, maintains, and develops reports of specialty court activity services and grants. Provides accurate reporting to court administration, court team, and grant funding agencies. Works with court administration and finance staff by validating and approving the payment of invoices for services.

 

  • Assists the specialty court team and Specialty Courts Section in developing and implementing policy and best practices.

 

  • Performs all other duties and tasks as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent

Work Experience:

One (1) year of directly related experience

License:

 

 

Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.

 

 

ADDITIONAL MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

-Administrative Support, Customer Service

License/Certifications:

Languages:

 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Customer service in a court setting or as a paralegal.
Experience in Legal Support.

Full Hourly Range: $19.97 - 34.44 USD
