Empower the Future of Tech Talent: Partner with the InfoSci Undergraduate Capstone Program
As technology transforms industries at an unprecedented pace, organizations find themselves in constant need of innovation and fresh talent. At the University of Arizona, the College of Information Science (InfoSci) is responding to this need by preparing its students for success in a tech-driven world. A cornerstone of this preparation is the undergraduate capstone program—an immersive experience that bridges academic learning with real-world application.
Starting this spring, the program takes a bold leap forward by inviting organizations to partner directly with student capstone teams. These partnerships offer a unique synergy: students gain invaluable experience solving complex, real-world problems, while organizations benefit from the energy, creativity and technical expertise of top talent.
Why Partner?
By collaborating with the College of Information Science, project partners unlock a wealth of benefits:
- Cutting-Edge Solutions: Gain insights into complex data challenges, develop prototypes, refine existing processes and more
- Talent Pipeline: Connect with top-tier students in information science, game design and development, and information science and arts, positioning your organization as a leader in recruiting tech talent.
- Tailored Support: Each project team is guided by an organization’s advisor who ensures smooth communication and progress to meet your needs.
Special Invitation: The University of Arizona iShowcase

This interactive event highlights more than 40 projects by InfoSci students in game design, digital storytelling, data science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, extended reality and more. Explore hands-on video and tabletop games, cutting-edge research and innovative senior capstones.
Network with other industry partners plus community members, faculty and students, and discover how our future tech leaders are shaping the industry.
The Capstone Experience: How It Works
From January to May 2025, capstone teams of 3-5 students will dedicate over 500 total hours to your project, bringing skills in programming, data science, UX design and more. As a project partner, your time commitment is minimal—just about an hour a week—while reaping the benefits of a highly motivated, technically skilled team.
Here’s what’s next:
- December 5, 2024: Project commitment deadline
- December 16, 2024: Project submission deadline
- January 16, 2025: Open House—meet students and introduce your project
- January 30, 2025: Proposal signed and work with your student team begins
- May 7, 2025: iShowcase—see your project come to life
No Partnership Fees
Currently, the program offers this opportunity at no cost to organizations. It’s an investment in the future, one that benefits both the students and the tech community.
